The surface of the wood should be free of large areas of insect damage, mold, and cracks. The color should be uniform, and the grain should be aesthetically pleasing.
The wood should be cut evenly, with the cut edges not cracking and both sides symmetrical.
It should undergo sufficient natural air-drying to ensure the moisture content is appropriate and to prevent deformation or cracking. Additionally, attention should be paid to the drying time and temperature to avoid excessive drying, which can cause the wood to warp or split.

After receiving the design draft and sample fee (The sample fee can be refunded after placing a formal order), our company needs 7-15 days to complete the sample.
Step 2: Courier Time (3~5 days)
Usually, Courier time 3-5 days to your address.
Step 3: Confirm The Sample (2~10 days)
If you are a direct buyer, your dedicated designer and project manager can confirm the sample in 2-7 days. If you are a trader or design company, you need to schedule a meeting with your client to discuss the sample. Based on experience, the sample confirmation time usually takes 5-10 days or longer.
Step 4: Bulk manufacturing (25~30 days for MOQ)
Upon receiving your order and deposit, the lead time depends on your order quantity and the time of year. The minimum order quantity (MOQ) typically takes 25 to 30 days.
Extra Days: Pre-production sample (10~20 days)
For a new project, it is rare to confirm everything in one go successfully. Usually, we create a pre-production sample according to your feedback of the 1st sample, which takes 7-15 days. and 3~5 days for courier.

2. Processing Methods of the Wooden Cigar Box.
The production of cigar boxes primarily involves two methods:
One method uses MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) as the main material. The interior is lined with Spanish cedar veneer, while the exterior is typically veneered with hardwoods such as cherry wood.
Currently, this method is becoming increasingly popular, mainly due to the following advantages:
The box does not deform in humid environments and does not crack in dry conditions.
Varieties of veneer styles are available, ensuring that you can find the perfect match for your preferences.
The wood veneer features prominent and aesthetically pleasing grain patterns.
The box comes in a rich variety of shapes and designs, offering more options for customization.
The other method involves making the entire cigar box from solid wood, then lining the interior with Spanish cedar. Some cigar boxes are made entirely from Spanish cedar, eliminating the need for an additional interior lining.
3. Tips for Using a Cigar Humidifier & Hygrometer
When you first receive your cigar box, the interior will be very dry. Please do not place any cigars inside immediately.
First, clean the interior to remove any residual wood dust from the cigar humidifier. Wipe it down with a clean cloth (do not use water, as it can seep into the cigar box).
Next, fill the humidifier with sodium-free distilled water or humidification solution. Do not overfill; it should be damp but not soaked. Wipe off any excess liquid on the exterior of the humidifier with a clean cloth.
Place the humidifier inside the cigar box for 1-2 days to allow the humidity to rise and stabilize. Only then should you place your cigars inside the box.
The safe humidity range for storing cigars is between 65% and 75%. Humidity preferences can vary among cigar smokers. Some prefer a slightly higher humidity (which reduces spiciness), while others prefer a lower humidity (which improves breathability). Ultimately, it depends on personal preference.
